How to manage end users within your IoT domain use manage hardware using the IoT Console.

There are two key areas useful in managing devices using the Console:

  1. Device Registry screen
The Registry allows you to look up devices using the Hardware ID. You can also filter devices using their current status (e.g. deactivated devices).

  2. Customers screen
From the Customers screen, you can start by looking up a user and then expanding their locations to view currently activated devices. The Customers screen only shows active (currently in use) devices.

Device Lookup using the Registry

The Device Registry screen makes finding devices easy. Enter in device information to narrow the list of devices until you locate the device you want to manage.

💡 Tip: The easiest way to locate the correct device is to have the Hardware ID (the string of numbers shown next to the QR Code on the device itself). However, you can manually search through the list, using the other fields (such as filter by Status) to narrow the results.

Note: Only active devices are shown from the Customers screen. If you need to find devices by other status (e.g. deactivated/Pending), use the Registry screen instead.

Deactivating Devices
