Display custom Corrective Actions & Guidance

How to customize Corrective Actions and Guidance

There are two options for customizing Guidance that is shown when users of the app select an action for an alert.

  1. You can manually add Guidance to your account by editing the Guidance section text in the Corrective Action dialog. This is done from the app as shown in our In-App help article & video. This type of change is done per account.

  2. If you are using a Custom Template for your hardware, we do support customizing the Template itself to include this data. This change updates the defaults seen when anyone who adds this hardware (which uses the associated Template) into their account.

This requires you to be using a Custom template with your hardware. However it allows you to set the default Guidance text to be displayed and also allows you to create custom Corrective Actions to be displayed (based upon the alert type).

Using Custom Templates and customizing this information must currently be updated with the assistance of the myDevices team.
