Are your sensors certified / calibrated from the factory?

Our sensors are factory calibrated by the manufacturer, however they do not include certification or documentation. We do offer specific sensors that are calibrated and certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). When purchasing such hardware, these sensors & probes will be calibrated before being sent and will have a label indicating that they are certified.

If you are considering one of our solutions and you require certified hardware, or if you are in need of calibration on your certified sensor, contact us and we will make sure to work with you.

How long is the NIST calibration?

Our standard NIST certification is good for 2 years, and can be extended at a customer’s request.

What is the process to recalibrate?

OpEx

  • During the recalibration process new certified sensors get shipped out to you. You can then ship back expired sensors or repurpose them for use in non-certified areas (e.g. Dietary/Nourishment, Kitchen/Café areas).

CapEx

  • Customers must either purchase new units to be certified or re-certify their existing units with the understanding that they will be without hardware during the recertification process

How do you know when to recertification?

The recalibration process should take place when the Certificate expires.

Who is responsible for recertification?

The customer is responsible for submitting request to get their sensors recalibrated. Customers may submit a ticket via help.mydevices.com and submitting the sensor IDs that require recalibration.

When are NIST sensors needed?

Most commonly needed to monitor Lab (Specimens, Blood), Pharmacy (Medication, Med Prep Rooms), SPD (Sterilization Rooms), NICU/Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (Breast Milk, Micro-Cool Drawers), OR (Surgery Rooms, Bone Freezers), Point-of-Care equipment.

How much is NIST recertification?

  • CapEx Pricing (for Partners and Non-TMO End Customers)

    • NIST Base Certification - $89/ea

    • NIST Probe Certification - $69/ea

    • NIST Extreme Temperature Probe Certification - $169/ea

  • No labels
