Widget Types Overview

New widget types may be added occasionally. If you have an idea for a widget that would help with your dashboards and project, please send us your idea and more information on how you would use it.

The following contains a brief overview of the types of widgets you can use to customize your dashboard. Please also note that depending upon which widget you select, the customization options and data shown will differ.

Real-Time Data

Device Data (Default)

Contains a summary of the latest data points for sensor in a style similar to what you would see on the app dashboard’s Manage screen.

The Device Data widget is meant to be something that can be easily added - unlike the other widgets it does not contain much customization options and instead relies on its pre-defaulted styling.

Device Data (Multi-Value)

Display multiple data points in a single Value widget. Allows you to configure which data is of primary importance for display and which should be shown, but as lower importance in widget (e.g. Upper/Lower, Primary/Secondary display).

Tank Level

For display of Distance or Level sensors monitoring tanks / containers that should show a fill-level style.

Value

General display widget where the sensor is sending Value readings. This can be used as a catchall widget for anything that sends Value readings.

Status

General display widget where the sensor is sending Status readings. This can be used as a catchall widget for anything that sends Status (e.g. Boolean, On/Off) readings.

Toggle Button

Individual or Groups of toggle controls which can trigger action on devices such as valves, irrigation controllers, etc. You can also use the Toggle All to trigger the entire group.

Meter

Display of readings in an incrementing counter styling.

Battery

Displays values in a battery-style (% full) widget.

Signal Strength

Displays values in a WiFi/Signal Strength-style (bars) widget.

Temperature

Displays values with Thermometer styling. Functionally the same as a Value widget, but with specific styling for this use case.

 

Visualization

Status Chart

Historical chart showing Status data points from sensor. As with all charts, rollover display shows more information on status and timing.

Timeline Chart

Shows the changing of sensor status over a period of time, allowing you to visualize how often a sensor was in one status versus another.

Bar Chart

Historical chart showing Reading data points from sensor, displayed in a Bar style. As with all charts, rollover display shows more information on values. You can temporarily change the filter period being shown or switch to display in Line style.

Line Chart

Historical chart showing Reading data points from sensor, displayed in a Line style. As with all charts, rollover display shows more information on values. You can temporarily change the filter period being shown or switch to display in Bar style.

Combo Chart

Display multiple combinations of Charts in a single widget. You can use this to combine disparate but related data.

Donut Chart

Display of values in a Donut style chart. Rollover sections of the chart for additional information.

Circular Chart

Display of values in a circular chart that fills in based on the value. Range is customizable in settings.

Gauge

Displays data in range over gauge style. Customize settings to display range maximum and coloring based on value.

External Content

Pull in external content for display as widget.

PowerBI

Displays external PowerBI data view in a widget. Pull in powerful configured reports for easy display alongside other data in your dashboard.

Youtube

Allows display of video content in a widget alongside other widgets on your dashboard.

Progress Bar

Display sensor data in a progress style widget that fills in based on current reading.

Display one or more images in a widget. Multiple images will cycle through automatically. Autoplay and image titles can be customized in settings.

History Log

Contains an historical table summary for sensor in a style similar to what you would see in the Device History page.

Data Table

Visualize data points from multiple sensors in a columnar style table view. Pick and choose which data points display and customize how they appear in each column to fit the type of data being displayed.

Notes

Display a list of editable notes as a widget. Shared dashboard viewers can also update notes as well. Widget settings allows for some additional display options for presentation of text.

Alert List

Display a list of Alerts and their current status. You can choose which device alerts are included in the list.
