How to Replace Beacon battery

The following will show you how to manually replace a beacon battery using batteries that you purchase and install yourself. The beacons take a 3V CR2477 coin battery.

If you have an entire site with beacons whose batteries need replacement, you are welcome to get in contact with us and we can provide a quote for installation of new beacons as an alternative.

  1. Remove rubber seal on back of beacon

  2. Use mini Philips screwdriver to remove 3 screws

  3. Pull apart the two halves of the beacon

  4. Replace coin battery

  5. Put together beacon halves with rubber center

  6. Screw pieces together

  7. Power on Beacon
