Helium Console usage

Obtain your API key

Each user has their own API Key. Here is how you can obtain your own which will let you upload devices to Helium.

1. Log into the Helium console.

2. Access your My Account info.
   
   

   Open

   

3. Under API Keys generate your key.
   Key Name: Give it a name such as yourname-console so that we know who’s key it is.
   Role: The only option here is Administrator.
   
   

   Open

   

4. After clicking on Generate Key you will be shown your key. You should copy this key so that you remember it.
   
   Important: This is the only time your key will be displayed. You will have to remove the old key and generate a new one if you lose it.
   
   

5. Note that you may see Activated: False shown for your key in the list. That’s normal and will flip to True once you use it.
